New EP Released

September 11, 2013 • No Comments

I’m so excited about this I don’t even know how to begin. My first EP has been released! I had a fun and extremely educational time doing a recording session and decided to keep the momentum going by taking those tracks and making an EP out of them. So not[…]

Getting There From Here

June 12, 2013 • No Comments

When life gives you lemons, take them and be glad you got something for nothing. Recently I’ve been looking for solo gigs and as part of that process, I have to figure out how I’m going to get myself to places where the transit system can’t take me. Sometimes it’s[…]

A Musical Flashback

April 29, 2013 • No Comments

Did you ever have one of those moments when you realize that you’d accomplished a lifelong goal without realizing it? I had one last night. I was getting ready to go out to a rehearsal and had an old rerun of Hee Haw on the TV. This is important because[…]

About Jim

Jim Dorman is a musician, composer, and teacher who used to be a juggler. But instead of juggling balls or clubs, now he juggles notes. Due to continuing loss of sight, Jim has developed intuitive improvisation skills, a passion for imagination, and a love of listening that is delightful and contagious. Jim draws audiences into his creative universe, encouraging listeners to see the world differently, and leaving folks smiling, humming, and wanting more. LEARN MORE
