Where To Eat

Here are a few nearby spots.

Surf Pines Cafe – Great for breakfast or lunch, just a short and very pleasant walk along the side of the golf course.

Angelina’s Pizzeria & Cafe – Good choices, good pizza.  Interesting tabletops and friendly service, down the road in Seaside.

The Beach Bakeshop in Rockaway Beach is well worth the trip.  They make the world’s most amazing brownies, along with a variety of other tantalizing pastries.  Always fresh, always amazingly delicious!  For those seeking local color, Rockaway Beach is also the birthplace of the Pronto Pup!  Not only can you get one from the original Pronto Pup restaurant, but you can even ride one!  Yes, really.  Go and see for yourself.

McMenamins Gearhart Hotel – A great building in a wonderful location just a couple of blocks from the house.  They offer standard McMenamins fare along with the always-impressive selection of beers.

Pacific Way Bakery & Cafe – Looking for something different? Walk over to this cozy spot for a snack or just a change of pace and enjoy highly-crafted delights in a nice atmosphere.

What To See & Do

Golfers, rejoice! The house is situated on the 18th fairway at Gearhart Golf Links.

The Tillamook Cheese Factory is always a fun place to visit.  Their visitor’s center is in a new location while they build a new one, but all the great info and food will still be available.

There are all kinds of things to see & do on the north coast, from art galleries to antiques to state parks and much more.  Visit this site for a searchable listing of activities.

Best of all, the beach is just 3 blocks away.  Bring your blanket, sport kites, or whatever else you like to do at the ocean!
